3 key points to consider when choosing “Crash Driving Courses” or “Intensive Driving Courses”?
To make sure you get the best deal for your intensive driving course, remember to note the total number of hours you are going to receive and not the number of days. This is a common mistake customer make, as a 5 day intensive driving course might have anything from 15 to 30 driving hours. If the price is the same, clearly one course is offering you 100% more driving time!! Or put another way, one course is twice as expensive!
Another point to consider is – does the crash driving course include a practical driving test in the price? Many do not – and in our view this is no bad thing as having the test at the end of 5 days can create too much of a pressure. For some people who have to learn in a specific time scale this is a necessary option, however, for most people a test a few days or weeks later is more effective.
A final word about “guaranteed pass intensive driving courses”. Beware! They are definitely not what you hope they are. The guarantee is not that you WILL pass at the first attempt but that if you fail you will be given more lessons, possibly free or possibly at a cheaper rate. Either way, this kind of offer is no more than an insurance policy attached to your driving course – so what premium are you going to be paying for this privilege and is it really worth it? Our advice – they are not worth the higher price.
